Jim Curran - Managing Partner
Mr. Curran brings over 25 years experience in general management,
business and financial planning, software and hardware development,
marketing and sales. He worked at various executive management positions
in his 21 year career at IBM; was executive Vice President of Information
Systems at Visa International, founded and managed his own consulting
business, Shamrock Partners, specializing in Business Planning and
Operations, and was most recently the General Manager of Business
Management and Operations at Exodus Communications. He sits on the
Boards of Health Highway, I-Prevail and Network Physics. Mr. Curran
holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Cathedral College Seminary and graduated
from the Executive MBA Management program at Harvard University.
Steve Machado - Partner
Steve Machado has over 10 years experience in financial planning
and business management in both the start up and enterprise environments.
His most recent assignment was Manager of Financial Planning at
Exodus Communications. Steve holds a BA in Business Administration
from the University of San Francisco.
Rand Collings - Partner
Mr. Collins, one of the co-founders of Shamrock Partners, brings
over 25 years experience in Application Development, Management
Systems planning, Workflow Automation, Data Networking, Business
process re-engineering. His previous assignments include SVP, Home
Savings of America, Director, ERP VISA International, co-founder
of The Structure Group. He holds a BA in Information Systems from
UCLA.
Steve Hussey - Partner
Mr. Hussey brings over 25 years of experience in general management,
strategic planning, finance and information technology. He served
in numerous executive management positions during his 20 year career
with Hewlett Packard; was the CEO of an energy services company
and most recently the CEO of an engineering consulting company serving
the data center and electrical power generation markets. He currently
sits on the Board of SharkRack, Inc, a leading provider of racking
and thermal solutions for high-density, enterprise data centers.
Mr. Hussey has a B.S. degree in Operations Research from the University
of Maine and an M.B.A degree from Purdue University where he has
also served as an Alumni Board member.
Dr Nai Ting Hsu – Senior Associate
Nai ting Hsu has over 20 years of engineering and general management
experience in networking and computer technologies. Most recently,
he was the Senior Vice President at Cacheflow, first of Research
& Development, where he managed the growth of three R&D
sites to support the company’s 50%+ quarter-to-quarter growth
rate, and then of the company’s M&A and strategic investment
arm. Before that, he held several VP-level positions at C-Cube Microsystems/Divicom,
including management of the Consumer Products Division, which represented
more than half of the company’s semiconductor revenues.
John Stanish - Senior Associate
John Stanish brings over 15 years of experience and expertise in
Investment Banking, financial analysis and management. He has held
numerous product planning positions at Sun Microsystems, has been
a financial analyst at Prudential Securities and Dakin Securities,
and is currently a Partner and lead research director at AIC Research.
John received his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
